At C & C Colt Company, we take a gentle approach to a confident horse. 

At their beautiful 60-acre facility in Whitesboro, Texas, Chris and Caren Ruthven provide natural horsemanship clinics, horse training, colt starting, horse boarding, mare care and foal imprinting services, as well as having excellent horses for sale. 

Whether you are looking for a great start for your young horse, performance training for your hot prospect, lessons or clinics to enhance your own skills, or a beautiful place to board your horse in North Texas - C & C Colt Company has what you're looking for.

Horsemanship Training That's Customizable, Flexible, and Affordable! 

Most apprenticeship programs expect the student to fit into their rigid class structure and are offer specific information during specific dates, whether you need it or not. 

C & C Colt Company offers a highly customized program suited specifically to each students' goals, skill level and learning needs.  Space is limited, so don't wait for your chance to learn from a true Master Horseman.

Clinics & Lessons

Our goal is always to turn out a confident horse that knows and can do whatever job it is given well. 

Available for colt starting, ground work, trailer loading and reining clinics, as well as riding lessons and “behavior problems”, all customized to suit the needs of the individual/ group in order to achieve students’ personal goals and objectives.

Quality APHA and AQHA Horses For Sale

We have a wide variety of very well-bred and versatile Paints and Quarter Horses. 

All have been personally trained by Chris Ruthven and given solid foundation training, providing for a very well-rounded willing horse.
